Post-jam Update #2 - Sounds & Sprites
Check out the Post-7drl version at https://david-vanderhaar.github.io/fire-fight-rl/.
The latest build features atmospheric sounds and 1-bit sprites! You can switch freely between ASCII and sprite mode. We've also checked a few tweaks off our list from the last post:
- DONE-ish: UI changes to the Keymap
- DONE: Gameplay balance tweaks
- DONE: Sprites! along with a toggle to switch between ASCII and sprites
- DONE: Sound Effects
- DONE: Visual cues and feedback during play.
We took quite a long break from working on this game but we didn't feel it was truly finished until we had, at least simple, implementations of the features described above. This is likely our last update for this tiny game. But we are excited to make more games using all the code and experience gained via 7drl. The competition was a reliable motivator and we are excited to participate in the future.
If you've played the game, thank you kindly! We'd appreciate your feedback too.
